Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a magnificent 104-run knock, guiding his side into the final. Gill and Sai Sudharsan have both crossed the 700-run mark this season and remain among the leading contenders for the Orange Cap.
Ahmedabad Holds Special Memories for Both Teams
Interestingly, both RCB and Gujarat Titans won their maiden IPL trophies at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Now, one of them will celebrate a second title at the very same venue.
The final was originally scheduled to be played at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, logistical and ticketing concerns reportedly led to the match being shifted to Ahmedabad.
The venue change could provide a significant advantage to Gujarat Titans, who enjoy tremendous home support. GT have won 16 of their 27 league matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium and have claimed five victories from seven matches at the venue this season.
