Chennai Super Kings’ losing streak continued in this IPL season, as they suffered their third consecutive defeat. In the latest clash at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, they went down by 43 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
After winning the toss, Chennai Super Kings opted to bowl first. Batting first, Bengaluru posted a massive total of 250/3 in their allotted 20 overs. Tim David played a sensational unbeaten knock of 70 off just 25 balls (3 fours, 8 sixes). Devdutt Padikkal contributed a solid 50 (29 balls; 5 fours, 2 sixes), while Rajat Patidar smashed 48 off 19 balls (1 four, 6 sixes). Virat Kohli added 28 runs from 18 deliveries (2 fours, 1 six).

Among the Chennai bowlers, Anshul Kamboj, Jamie Overton, and Shivam Dube picked up one wicket each.
In reply, Chennai got off to an aggressive start but failed to sustain momentum. Sanju Samson (9), Ruturaj Gaikwad (7), and Ayush Mhatre (1) were dismissed cheaply. Sarfaraz Khan led the fightback with a well-made 50 off 25 balls (8 fours, 2 sixes). Prashant Veer scored 43 (29 balls; 6 fours, 1 six), while Overton chipped in with a quickfire 37 off 16 balls (4 fours, 2 sixes). However, Chennai could only manage 207 runs.
For Bengaluru, Bhuvneshwar Kumar starred with the ball, claiming three wickets. Jacob Duffy, Abhinandan Singh, and Krunal Pandya took two wickets each, while Suyash Sharma picked up one.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar also achieved a significant milestone in this match, becoming one of the few bowlers to reach 200 wickets in the Indian Premier League
